At Monifieth Dental Clinic we do more than just drill, fill and take teeth out; our highly-qualified dentists and dental specialists offer some of the very best quality dental care on the market today and we do so right in the heart of your local community. We firmly believe everyone should have access to high-quality, evidence-based treatment that maximises long-term oral health, without long NHS waiting times or the need to travel far and wide to remote specialist clinics; and that they should have dependable and knowledgeable clinicians working with them and taking the time to help them make informed choices about their dental health.
The clinic's purpose-built premesis is situated just off Monifieth High Street, at the end of the lane between Bayne's the Baker and the Coffee Pot. We're open from 9am most weekdays and have evening and weekend appointments available too. From our welcoming waiting areas stem our three comfortable and fully-equipped dental surgeries - that's where you'll find the team hard at work! Two of our surgeries have step-free access from high-street to dental chair, so if you have any mobility issues or struggle with stairs, just let us know when you book your appointment and we'll make sure we see you downstairs. We also have a fully-accessible disabled toilet and baby-changing facilities on site for your convenience.
A bit of back story...
Monifieth Dental Clinic was started from scratch by Gary Grime in 2010, following his successful spell in general practice in Perth. Since then the clinic has developed .
2018 was a particularly big year for the clinic. It was in April of that year that Martyn McGinley, whom Gary came to know from an advanced restorative and cosmetic course years earlier, brought his further expertise in implant dentistry and smile design to the clinic and joined the team as a Lead Dentist. With even more dental expertise under the one roof, this promted us to make the decision to double-down on what we do best - putting all of our time and effort into providing excellent dentistry. In doing so, we invested heavily to make sure we were offering the very best dentistry we could. We purchased a 3shape intra-oral scanner that facilitated the introduction of a fully-digital design process for many of our private treatments, removing the need for uncomfortable impression taking and giving unmatched accuracy and precision to the dental work we produce. This also allowed us to start making use of 3D-printing technology, and offer restorations precision-milled to your own exact specifications in ever more minimal, durable and cosmetic materials. Furthermore, we acquired an operating microscope that offers unparalleled visual accuracy to our dentists in surgery. For our patients, this translates to improved efficacy of nearly everything we offer, from early-detection of dental decay to highly precise endodontic surgeries, when compared with dentists operating optically unaided or with basic magnification alone. Gary and Martyn also committed to undertaking postgraduate diplomas in endodontics and implantology respectively, continuing to expand their knowledge and skills to the benefits of their patients. Moreover, we had many new faces join the team. Desmond Managazira joined
