Gary Grime: Lead dentist/Practice Principal

Gary moved to Dundee from Llanelli, West Wales in 1999. Following six years at University of Dundee he has worked in general practice in Dundee and Perth. Now living in Monifieth he has helped developed Monifieth Dental Clinic from scratch.

His clinical interests include all areas of clinical and general dentistry, however he does have a strong focus on preventing dental diseases rather than waiting until they become a problem. He also takes an active role in continuing development, having travelled throughout the UK to attend courses. Future planned projects within dentistry include completing a course in occlusion and following this with an extensive post-graduate restorative programme.

When away from the practice he can be found on the links or occasionally – but definitely not enough – at David Lloyd gym.

Lisa Respinger - Dentist

Lisa is an associate at the practice. She graduated from Dundee University in 2009 and since then has had experience in different areas of dentistry.  She has worked in both general practice and in a hospital setting as well as volunteering in the community dental service.

Lisa enjoys working with people of all ages and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She was delighted to join the team at Monifieth Dental Clinic in November 2011 and has settled in well.

Outside of the dental environment Lisa enjoys racket sports, particularly squash. She also loves to go water and snow skiing when the weather allows!

Louise Navickas: Dental Nurse

Louise has been part of the Monifieth Dental Clinic team since October 2010 and is currently studying for the latest stage of her dental nursing qualification. Previous to working at MDC, Louise worked in retail, but explored the dental world and is currently enjoying her role as part of the team!

Pamela Sinclair: Treatment Coordinator

Pam comes from a medical background having previously worked as a nurse for over 30 years. Having worked in a medical practice for over 20 years, Pam decided to join us here at Monifieth Dental Clinic. Also a trained reflexologist, these skills will be very useful for our patients as well as her caring and skilled role as a nurse.

Outwith the clinic Pam enjoys jazzercise, and actually is a trained jazzercise instructor too!

Robyn Haxton: Dental Nurse

Robyn attended Lawside Academy in Dundee, and after a long time interest in dental nurs-ing, joined us here at Monifieth. Robyn is no stranger to dental practice having previously worked with our orthodontic colleagues at Beam in Dundee. A keen dental nurse, Robyn is enjoying her time here in MDC and is looking forward to her future career in dental nursing.

Also a keen participant of Jazzercise, Robyn does this as well as travelling.

Angela Manby: Dental Nurse

Angela qualified as a dental nurse in 1983, Angela has worked locally in both Carnoustie and here in Monifieth as well as Dundee. A very enthusiastic and experienced member of the team, she is very skilled in putting patients at ease during their visit.

In her spare time Angela enjoys spending time with her family and venturing far afield on her travels!

Claire Robertson- Denatl Nurse / Treatment Coordinator

After training at Dundee College and Dundee Dental Hospital, Claire qualified as a registered Dental Nurse in July 2007. Claire has recently made the transition in to Dental Practice Management and is enjoying the challenge so far. Claire continues to develop knowledge and expertise through attending courses on a regular basis. Claire is responsible for the overall operation of Monifieth Dental Clinic.

Yvonne Ramsay- Hygienist

Evee has been conveying the prevention message for 14 years, having qualified in 1997, before which she had trained as a dental nurse.

Having worked with one of Scotland's leading implant clinicians, Evee is always very keen to stress the importance of getting patients in board and working together to achieve the best possible individual treatment outcome.

When not at work, Evee enjoys spending time with her twin girls and husband Kenny, as well as music and of course walking the dog!

Clair Ruxton- Hygienist

Clair originally trained as a dental nurse, but made the transition to hygienist in 2005, having trained for three years at Dundee Dental Hospital. Originally from Arbroath, Clair is mum to Freddie. Her work interests are in treating patients that have previous experience of good periodontal care and dental hygiene therapy, and seeing the rapid positive results that can be achieved.

As well as looking after Freddie, Clair enjoys shopping and music-- with the surgery always being livened up with her tunes!

Pauline Brown - Receptionist

Prior to working at Monifieth Dental Clinic on Reception Pauline had always worked in the financial sector.

After leaving Harris Academy she worked for the Clydesdale Bank for 12 years holding various posts within the bank before leaving to have her son and daughter. After 8 years she then returned to the bank on a part time basis before leaving to work with a local mortgage brokers for 8 years.

Outwith work pauline enjoys going to the gym, socialising with friends and getting some sunshine on holiday.
